I was referring to "Firefly" myself...

I think he meant the ones from
Firefly.
EDIT: And I'm right.
I immediately thought of the drone arms from
Lexx. These things are a lot larger and more capable in terms of weaponry, but they're both a form of
Von Neumann probe.

If we engage from long range, and load warhead on our ships to vaporise the debris if they fall, we can overcome they're regenerative capabilities. I want a peek at some of those replicatiors.
And I haven't seen Firefly.......so I'm feeling sheepish.

Burst torpedoes perhaps? A combination of long-range burst torpedo barrage and regular torpedo/phaser barrage maybe?

You should fix that.

At the moment, you can watch the first three episodes. They alternate weekly, so you should be able to see some new ones soon.
Anyhoo, I'm planning to develop some new torpedo tech. Between the Confederacy, the Klingons, and the Federation, we might see some good standoff capability against these f*ckers soon. Especially if we work together. I'm wondering how well the EDW would work against these things.

It would be quite profitable to add those resources to our own.

In my case it was torpedo research.

Ah. Well the Feds have Quantums and maybe Transphasics, so they'd be the go-to guys on this. I'm working on higher ROF.

One point of order. You have a long time before they show up. They move very slowly. Just crossing the part of the DQ you can see from the wormhole would take them between 3 months and half a year. And that is if they just went straight for it.

I'm thinking a "carrier" may be called for. Fighters could effectively engage and destroy these ships and still provide less materials for them to reclamate.
