2125 Day Two:

Naja deftly hops aside to avoid the ring of flame from the Tech-Priests firebomb and brings his shotgun to bear on the still flaming creature. As he squeezes the trigger his foot catches on a small rock, causing his shot to go wide.

2125 Day 2

As the first abomination went down Phebia calmly switched her aim to the second. While the creature was easy to see being on fire and all that, its random flailings made it a hard target. Phebia's first shot caught the creature in the head but its random movement made the second go wide. She grinned triumphantly as it seemed to stagger but it went right back to madly trying to extinguish the flames with no apparent damage. At least from her las carbine.

Lot leans around the rock-face. With the blazing creature in sight, she fires three consecutive silent rounds. She noticed some of the natives looking for where the shots could have come from. Then she falls back into the shadows.

As the mysterious shots crippled the flaming xeno Trask squinted in concentration for a moment, then reversed his backhand grip on his sword. Cutting in an arc from high to low, he sliced open the creature's trunk. Vile entrails spilled onto the ground and the thing's ichor sprayed in a wide arc until the pressure subsided. Trask immediately began reciting a litany of thanks for the Emperor's protection.

2125 Day Two:

As the final Xeno hits the ground, they both begin to dissolve into a bubbling ooze that eats into the ground below them. A few seconds later all that is left is a handful of needles and some crystalline studs.

The fire on the half-tracks canvas top begins to spread rapidly towards the drivers compartment, sending a thick black cloud into the air.

"Frak!" Karibi yelled, watching the fire spread. "Someone grab the fire extinguisher!"

Almost as soon as the word "...extinguisher!" was out of Karibi's mouth, Pahr's form blurred past. He grabbed the canister deftly, before somersaulting onto the roof of the passenger cab. He pulled the pin, and accurately sprayed the canvas top with foam. In a few seconds, the flames were extinguished, but the roof had already taken some damage.

Haxta rushed forward as soon as the final xeno fell, running for the burning truck, but Pahr beat her there by a good margine. She was just skirting the hissing puddle that was the remains of the xeno she had torched by the time he had finished putting out the flame. She began to examine the truck, looking for damage, and cursing under her breath at the bad luck of it all.

Trask cleaned his sword on a scrap of charred fabric from the half track, sheathed it, and brought his hands together in an attitude of concentration. After a split-second, he began to gently rise into the air while arcs of static played around the hull of the truck and the group's hair began to stand on end. Lowering back down, he growled, "I can't detect anyone else around. We seem to be alone for the moment... mostly." Turning toward the stand of rocks on the southwest of the camp, he called, "Hello, our unseen ally! Care to show yourself?"

2125 Day Two

With the battle over, Lot comes out from behind the huge bolder. Walking up to Pahr she says, "Whats up hot stuff". Then taking the canister and throwing it aside, She grabs his right hand with her left drawing him to her, finishing with three firm pats on his back.

Pahr was startled into speaking, "Lot?"

He briefly returned the hug, whispering in her ear before turning back to the truck, and absently checking his weapon.

Not in too trusting a mood, Karibi made sure that the moment the woman turned back around to face the group there was a gun aimed at her.

"So," He said, aiming his revolver carefully. "Care to tell us who you are, who sent you and how you knew we were here?"

Pahr's rifle was trained just as quickly at Karibi's head.

"She's a friend." he growled, eyes narrowed as he glanced at the others.

" The truck's fine," Haxta suddenly interjected, trying a bit awkwardly to disfuse the situation with a distraction.

Karibi faltered for a moment as he saw the assassin aiming at him, but with the adrenalin still coursing through him he was feeling recklessly brave.

"Oh really?" He asked the assassin, maintaining his aim. "Can you be so sure of that? Our enemies have quite a lot of tricks up their proverbial sleeves. And I find it quite convinient that she just happened to know where we were, just happened to be someone you know, and just happened to turn up just in time to render aide to us in the middle of a brief fight. That would be a nice way of gaining our trust, wouldn't it? She could be under their control, working with them willingly - or perhaps unknowingly, or something merely masquerading as your comrade."
