Altough normally in favour of the E-D, there are days I think there still isn't anything better than the original. From Drexlers blog.

Same here. For me it's usually the days between 1 January and 31 December. How about you?

I'd agree, but I'd switch the endpoints to January 1st and December 31st.

What happens if you mix the galaxy class with a sovereign?

I would expect something aweful looking,....yet somehow....I like it. And altough the nacelle pylons look a bit strange I really dig the elegant secondary hull. That is imho the direction they should have been going with the E-E. More E-D and less VOY.

Not gonna run with the crowd, personally I don't like it. It looks equally disproportionate as a normal GCS, and then just has the bastardized look of mixing them together.

Personal differences i suppose.

I'm kinda going with Reliant here....while the ship does have a certain quality to it, I don't like it near as much as the Sovereign

Well generelly I don't like fan-designs and kitbashes but in this rare case the only two things I can really fault is the almost unchanged dorsal portion of the primary hull which is an almost 1:1 sov ripoff and the rather strange nacelle pylons who do not flow well imho.

If whoever designed it changed those textures, impulse engines etc. to something more fitting and not so obviously sovereign ripoff while keeping the overall shape of the ship, then that is by far the best I fanmade ship I have seen so far and FAR more impressive than anything Cryptic has put out for Star trek online.

I like how the really elegent sec. hull flows into the primary hull, really well done imho.
