Using Sense Presence, roll of 18 against a threshold of 7, overbleed boosts it to 70m.

You sense small forest creatures slowly retuning to the area and not much else.

We're about a kilometer from the elevator, just about due east from it.

Right then. Agil 47, Concealment +20, Silent Move +20.

Concealment: roll of 68 F**k me. Unless, of course, there's a bonus from being outside the firelight (like you mentioned, IC...)

Silent Move: roll of 62. At least I made the important one. Is there some cover to move through?

If I get to the edge of the tree line. Our Assault Marine could jump to Ork 1 while I just charge Ork 2.

I was trying to avoid a charge - it limits the number of attacks I get in one round... and if I want to charge more than 12m, I have to jump... which could alert some greenskins on the plateau. If you and Tyyr are supposed to be Devastators, I say play as such. Stand by with the big guns (or big sword) just in case my attack or SG's headshot don't seal the deal. I'm only going in for HTH because of the Silent Move talent.

BTW, GM... should I do something for the walk around to the south and back up behind #1, or should we just get into it? I'm guessing we'll have an extra round if necessary, due to ambush?

Yes, this is an ambush so they get no attacks at all first round. No need to get fancy, just write up the hustle. Mithras and the Inquisitor are standing by.

I think we'll handle this like this. Prior to the attack everyone gets a round to set up. Aim, brace, whatever needs to be done. First attack round is Mikey then Rochey. If they don't kill the targets we'll roll for initiative and finish it off like a normal combat.

Presumably I'm able to hit the Orks from my position, yes?

Yeah, the woods aren't that dense. Range for you is about 30m.

I'm assuming I'm able to set up within melee range, based on the silent move roll? If so, I'll just vox in that I'm going in and start from there.

Yeah. You might want to let us make noise to make sure he's not looking at you though. Just a suggestion. Move silently means just that. You move silently, not invisibly.

My thoughts were more along the line of two of us charging each Ork. Besides, I'm not giving up my Heavy Bolter. My melee option is a Great Sword attached to my Heavy Bolter.

The goal is to take them quietly, so they can't raise an alarm.

Yeah, I got that. Should I just assume that you make noise when I signal you and that pig-boy looks your way, or should I wrote up the approach and vox signal and then wait for you?

You take care of it.
