But they did have a photo of Picard at the Academy played by Tom Hardy, and it looked pretty much just like Shinzon.

I believe it's commenting on the fact that in the US teachers and teacher unions are decried as self-absorbed organizations who care more about themselves than the children they teach and are the cause of every I'll facing our education system, but after sandy hook, people are now saying we should have guns/armed staff in schools for protection.
