yes that was suppossed to be y=...

however I don't know how to factor a "complex" x cubed equation.

the only way I can sove would be:
0= -x^3 + 3x^2 + 1
-1= -x^2(x-3)
x^2(x-3)-1=0

accordingto this i'm inclined to believe the graph would "bounce" at (0,0) because of the double rood, then pass through (3,0), but it doesn't
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I'm putting together some DVD's of porn for a family friend that's overseas, goddamn it's boring. And actually setting it up as a DVD makes the PC overheat and shut down, so I'm transferring them over manually. I hope he doesn't mind a few doubles.

Also slipped in a surprise for him. ;)

I "y= -x^3 +3x +1" ?
Something like that :arrow:
0=-x^3+3x+1
0=-x(x^2-3)+1
0=x+1 0=x^2-3

Where did 3x^2 come from? Or is that how the problem is supposed to be written?

Mikey, that one isn't so simple - you'll find it's 'unfactorizeable' to the human brain, and even to calculators :D

Staplic, the cubic equations (similar to the quadratic, but a million times longer more complicated) will get you the answers. Depending on whether you're wanting it in polar, surds, or imaginary form will depend which of the many methods you can use.

EDIT: Doesn't particularly help when Staplic writes two different equations :lol:

You'll die one day, and come to face a sphinx that will ask you to solve a quadratic equation in your head to decide your fate... :P

Yeah, I didn't look at it too closely at first, I was just describing the general methodology.

More woman trouble. Now that my wife and I decided to TRY and work things out, the hottie from WAAYY back when (the one I posted the pic of a few months ago) is back, out of the blue, and wants to get serious.

Lucky, very lucky. At least MOST men have some semblance of timing
