Well, my boss will walk into the kitchen whilst we're eating, apologise, and then proceed to ask us something. Course he also interupts conversations, and jumps in to conversations that don't concern him.

I just tell people to go away. If they don't, I take out my knife. And smile sweetly.

Grr. Every once in a while, I'm reminded of how disparate my wife's tastes in art and literature are from mine. Her recent choices in reading, for example, haven't varied from Anna Quindlan and Susan Miller.

So... when my daughter was reading in the car the other day, and came upon a bit about Brussels and then said the word "Belgium," I of course told her (jokingly) to not use that sort of language. My wife looked at me as if she already had the committal papers drawn up.

I was asked to pull a pallet down at work today to get toothbrushes off it for the health/beauty aid department manager. Okay, I did it and informed her about it, along with a ton of other stuff she needed. Around 1:50 PM, I see her. She shows me the toothbrushes and asks me what the fuck she's supposed to do with them.

The toothbrushes came in what's called an 'assortment', meaning in the case there's multiple types of them in a display. Turns out she wanted the display and all the other toothbrushes. And she expected me to know this by... I don't know... READING HER MIND????!!!
