The show probably would have been considerably better had SHIELD not fallen. A lot of time, and story line direction, revolve around that and trying to overcome it.

So, any guesses as to the direction for S3? The prominence of Daisy Johnson allows for the possibility of a Secret Warriors storyline; the decision to nix the proposed Mockingbird/Hunter series in order to keep the characters on AoS makes one consider a Secret Avengers arc; yet again, I get the impression that Jemma isn't dead, but certainly won't be the same Jemma.

Jemma was the weakest link so I am fine with her being altered...

Whatever happens, I'm interested to see if it will strengthen Fitz or break him.
