The Lakota is a refit-Excelsior - she had exactly the same hull extensions and extra impulse engines as the E-B.

I just looked around DITL. Didn't find anything like the Refit model on the Lakota. Could someone put up a screen shot?

Memory Alpha has got some screen shots. You can see the beefed up impulse engines in the shot with the Defiant.

Well thats interesting. I guess I didn't notice without the failing hull and the fact that unlike the other refit we've seen the Lakota was ARMED.

OOU, apparently the Excelsior, the E-B and the Lakota were all the same studio model, and once they stuck all the extra stuff on, they were unable to take it off without damaging the model.

That's why you shouldn't use superglue.
