curiosity is a double edged sword. On one hand you have the vast new stores of knowledge you access, on the other, you'll want to unlearn some of that stuff.

this situation definately falls into the later.

don't worry, my therapist says that with two years of extensive psychotherapy, I'll be able to successfully supress the memory

After this battle, I am willing to full in need be.
I wouldn't mind being the Sov against Seafort... even though the odds would be really against me.
Which brings up a question: Seafort, do we use your numbers from the debate (about 6 disruptors) or the DITL numbers?

I don't really mind. When it comes to power output the ship's reactor is the determining factor, not the number of weapons. In any event, the Scimitar clearly has weapons to cover at least the fore, aft, upper and (at least to an extent) lower arcs, regardless of the numbers available. If we got into the fine detail of what hits would be required to take out specific weapons, and how many such hits would be required to defang the ship, it would be better to go with observed weapons.

Sounds good. Of course, I don't really understand what goes on behind the scenes, so I'm not sure what is important.

That makes two of us. I expect Rochey'll have everything worked out by that stage, so he can teach us as we go along.

Here's the order as of now:

Stitch vs Mark (currently going)
Staplic vs Tsuki (Defiant vs Norexean)
MM&I vs Mikey (Norway vs Steamrunner)
JudgeKing vs Reliant (Sovereign vs Son'a Battleship)
2v2 (sides to be determined) Teaos, Staplic, Reliant, and Mark (ships to be determined, Paladin)
Seafort vs Stitch (Schimitar vs Sovereign)

as of this second, Rochey is the only one modding, however I'm clearing up some questions I have with the rules (as soon as Rochey returns my message that is) and then I, too, may begin Modding.

Hey, I'm getting some money for Christmas; I'll buy some then! :D

I understand the modifier system; I'd just need to know a few details.

me too, like why with Type X phasers the torpedoes are way less powerful, and why shields fail after around6 torps.
