It's a nice configuration, but "kitbash" just makes me wince. Give me the same thing TNG styled and I'd like it a whole lot better.

I understand what your saying, but, and i know its almost blasphemous, but i really dont mind Kitbashes AS LONG AS they are done PROPERLY. Look at the Nebula. in m opinion it looked better than its parent ship!
If the centaur had been TNG era it would have been disproportionate and dumpy looking.

Yes, I misspoke there. It's not that it's a kitbash as such, I am not a fan of them but I can handle a decent kitbash. I'm really thinking more that this is too old to be in service when we saw it. I'd prefer it TNG styles so it looked like a ship of its time. All the TOS era stuff in the TNG era really bothered me.

I'd have to agree with you there, although in this case i would have a different layout or proportions for a TNG than the Centaur. it works well with TMP style. Probably a 2310 kit or something similar.
