I also just noticed that you may recognise my name from a certain book (or books)
And that was intentional - I've been using this name for a good few years now (because I started off playing Age of Empires and Lord of the Rings maps
)

Yeah I resisted comment on it for the sheer obviousness, It would have been sort of like when people tell you when you've had a haircut.

American History X was great - for my favortie movie about skinheads, though, I'd have to go with Romper Stomper.
Of course, I've had my own run-ins with real skinheads before - not baldies, mind - and those run-ins have rarely gone as painlessly as watching a movie...

I found American History X to be an excelent film, very shocking.
And my sympathies, Mikey.

You mean for the skinhead thing, or for actually enjoying a Russell Crowe film? (I'm not counting
Gladiator - Ridley Scott automatically cancels out any Crowe-ness.)
Don't feel bad for me - I didn't say the painfulness was one-sided...
Fortunately, I'm smart enough to hang where anybody trying to kick my a** would be outnumbered by people who don't want my a** kicked. In fact, the way things are anymore, there are far more baldies than skins at most scenes. I sure wouldn't walk into a Dropkick Murphys show wearing a mezuzah outside my shirt, though...

Apart from skinheads, have you encountered any antisemitism, from any other ethnicities?
A man should only get a romping if he's a t*t, not on the basis of his ancestry or prayer direction

I can't say I've ever experienced any bias from a group, as such. I certainly have experienced prejudice from individuals - as has or will everyone else in this world - but more often than not I experience plain ignorance if anything at all. I'm not really interested in giving anybody else the benefit of a doubt, but for my own sanity and blood pressure, I try to keep in mind the difference between ignorance and prejudice.
Getting back to the thread, I don't know if it's my #1, but the original The Producers, with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel, is certainly one of the best films of all time.

Zero is wonderful in 'Funny thing that happened on the way to the forum', although the 'Producers' is excellant, regarding the old lady shenanigans and 'springtime for hitler'

Azrael, you're violating the rules of fightclub by talking about it!
