Mikey wrote:I can't read it either, but I think I can run down the salient points:

1 - There is a city in France - the one in which the shooting occurred - called "Toulouse." There is no city named "Toolooz."

2 - The French president is, in fact, not Claude Guent or whoever the text said - it is Nicolas Sarkozy.

3 - Nobody would have had to apologize to the Asian community, as the Asian community had nothing to do with this incident. Indeed, nobody apologized for anything to anyone.

4 - The "crazed Buddhist madman" which the text reported was in fact not even close to being a Buddhist. He claimed to be some form of extremist Muslim.
The only part I got was Toolooz. I didn't catch the others. I have no clue where cities are located in France beyond Paris or the name of their president.

Well, the map thing was a good one too. I couldn't exactly locate Toulouse on an unmarked map of Europe, but knowing that it's a French city - even worse, knowing that the story is about a French city, so I wouldn't have had to know that previously - I think I probably would have marked the map with a spot that was at least close to France.

...And that's why you're an idiot if you get your news from Fox.

...Well, a prime example of why you're an idiot if you get your news from Fox, at least.

And the fact that many people do get their "news" from Faux News is a prime reason why Rick Santorum is still relevant.

I call foul. Yes, Fox is not exactly a shining example of quality journalism, but they're not that bad. Spelling things wrong or getting locations wrong I can accept. Picking random names I've never heard of out of thin air or putting locations on the wrong side of the continent is dubious but possible. The idea of them blaming any religion but Islam, given that they tend to blame Muslims for everything from the Fall of Man to the weather, is ridiculous, especially as the culprit was a Muslim in this case.

Or possibly Bulgaria. It's hard to tell, given the size of the blob.

To be fair, doesn't he now go by the title of "Nicolas I, Imperator of the Holy European Union Empire?"

No. He tried, but his boss threatened to come steamrolling through Sedan again, so he had to settle for being the lesser half of Darth Merkozy.

Honestly it isn't something I care to know.

Fair enough. I put knowing the identities of the most important people on the planet a bit further up my priority list.

Not me. I don't care for politics and I just don't care who runs what. This even applies to my own country. I only know the big names.

Seafort reminded me of Simon Mujamdar on Food Network. During the the most recent "Next Iron Chef," Geoffrey Zakarian exhibited a knack for preparing elegant, complex dishes with seemingly little effort and surprisingly banal ingredients. Commenting on this ability, Mujamdar referred to the chef as "Darth Zakarian."

Yeah, that blob is a bit... random and large.
