I think it's, "Too many money-grubbing jerks ruin what's supposed to be a nice gesture for a grandson," or something like that.

It never ceases to amaze me how family will fuck each other over for cash. To quote my father "get your own fucking money". Though I don't mean you Tsu, if Grandma wants you to have it then your definitely not in the wrong here.

Basically, since my mom gets a third of the estate anyways (when my Grandma passes over; which will hopefully not be for a number of years), we're viewing this as sort of an advance of part of her share.
Which, oddly enough, my uncle just did recently without even asking my Grandma (he does still have access to a couple of her accounts).
It was about the same amount of money as well...

My sister and I will never fight over our parents' money. My dad made it very clear on many occasions - "Don't count on it, because I'm spending it all while I'm here."

Well, next week is my last week of freedom this semester.
I can almost guarantee that I will not be on much starting January 20th.
Enjoy my new avatar.

The Temperature got up to 40 degrees C here today. Humid and hot and horrible. For a coastal city thats usually very temperate thats just stupid.

So mom and dad went to Cuba over the holidays, first time they've been anywhere like that since 77 when they had a late honeymoon and they brought me back some cigars. And as per usual when I talk to my father, we were on the phone for two hours swapping the same funny Army stories that we always do. I noticed my wifes eyes rolling at ludicrious speed though.
That's the good news, the bad is that it snowed another 10 centimeters last night and my snowblower is still pooched.

Graham, did you ever hear back from the TV people regarding their interest in an interview in the end?
Last time of asking, it had all gone quiet....just wondered if you'd heard anything since?

Well Dad bought a three pack of cigars, even those where 50$! So I get one, he gets one and my sister does as well. He also snagged a ten year old bottle of rum, I think mom is using that for x-mas cake though. It'll take him 10 years to drink it at his rate.

You can get $2 rum to bake with.
