In NJ, that's a $500,000 - $700,000 house. Easily.
And I'm a three-star, for the moment.
BTW - got my new LG Dare yesterday, with virtual QWERTY keyboard and full html browser - made a couple of posts last night and this morning from the phone! woo-hoo!

fun fun.
I have no idea what that house would go for around here. The town I live in is a little higher than the rest of the area, but I'd say around $300k-$400k

Oxford is about as expensive as London. Our house is 5m wide (about 13'6") and about twice as deep. It's in a block of 4 side by side (touching) and has 4 bed rooms over three floors. The one next door to us sold last year for £535,000 (at the time that would be $1,070,000).

My house is the largest in the street, due to a small extension to the whole of the bottom floor front, and a large extension to an area of the bottom floor rear. Its a two bedroom house, end of terrace, 1960's build with good sized garden and good sized rooms in general.
£136,500 we payed. so bout $199,879. So to 200K in american dollars for a house thats probably 2 three times smaller than that.

My house is about 1600 sq. ft. living area, plus a 2-1/2 car garage, two-story, four BR, jacuzzi in master bath, on a 100' x 150' corner lot. Central air, gas forced heat. At 11 years old (in 2000) I bought it for $170,000. It would list at about $350,000 today - and I'm not directly on the water.

Well gang, I've started training for the new job today, and I sure as hell hope that the money is worth it. I can see getting REALLY bored, REALLY fast sitting in a cubical all day booking appointments all day. First thing they did was cut my scheduled overtime, and cut my hourly a buck an hour, so I'll be working mostly for the end of the month incentives, I guess.

That's only until you're done training, right?
The house looked even better in person, BTW.

Square footage is not a common measurement here, in fact I've never seen one quoted. However, I'd say that ours must be about 5m x say 15m x 3 floors = 225m
2, It's got four bedrooms, two with en-suite shower rooms, a family bathroom, and a toilet on the ground floor. A large kitchen diner, conservatory and built in garage. The living room is about 13.5 foot (5m) x 13.5 foot (5m) L shaped.

Well, I imagine space is at somewhat of a premium over there, it being an island and all. This is Texas; we're bigger than most countries.

Ian, didn't you multiply volume?

shouldn't 5x15x3=225m3

Wow. Surprise twist. My dad (who I haven't heard from in four years or so) called my uncle today and left a number. I called back, and left my number with a friend of his.
I really don't need this crap right now, but honestly, I'm interested to see what he has to say.

The cynic in me says he may have heard about your recent good fortune. But I dont know anything to judge.
I would have thought if he wanted to gt back in touch he would have done so before Christmas.

No chance he could've heard about this; pure coincidence. Unless he's a member...
As for the other part, the guy can't remember the order of months of the year; he probably thinks my birthday is coming up.
