That blows Reliant, try and take it easy.

As for me, I am deep into planning my wife's 30th b-day thing. And by deep I mean five minutes. I think a few good friends and I will treat her to a classy dinner and then suprise her with her first trip to the strippers. I hear they do cool things for people having birthdays.

Kendall - you mean that you're not just going to oil up and dance for her?

Reliant - really sorry to hear it. As both a human and a parent, let me tell you - we ARE human. Obviously there's a lot going on that's really bothering your dad, and it's interfering with his ability to relate to you. But from everything I've heard here, he does love you - he's just in a bad place to express it properly. In a perfect world, he'd be able to isolate a problem in one area of his life from his dealings with you, but us parents aren't perfect.

Hmm...would save me a couple hundred bucks. And I have a bottle of baby oil in the closet!

Just to add, men have a shitty time in general communicating feelings. I love my son to death but I can't seem to get it across properly. In time everything will work out for you, my own father and I didn't really communicate well until I left home. So, yeah time and all that. I shall cease rambling now.

We have feelings! guess the media was lying to me again, who'd a thunk it.

I think it's usually that way in general, men communicate better with men, not with boys. My dad had a hard time with his father until he was out on his own, and I'm noticing that as I get older and more manly (b/c that word has to be bolded  ) I'm finding it easier to talk with both my father and grandfather.

They did. But of course real men only feel hate, disgust, hate and lust. Oh and hate.

It really seemed to help in my case that I choose to join the military as he did, so we actually have something in common other than genetics.

That sucks, Reliant. Here's hoping everything'll turn out for the best. If you need to rant, feel free to PM me.

As for me, I'm just going to be sitting around doing sweet FA today, but I'll probably dissappear for the next couple of days (yay, parties!).

That really does suck reliant, sorry to hear it. And if you need someone else to rant to, I'll be glad to lend an ear.
My life, is actually nothing very spectacular, just having the sameold stuff going on, except I have off school for 2 weeks, which is great and sucks all at the same time, sad to say, I actually miss school.

I know what you mean Nick, with school out every ones with their families for xmas and there's now one to hang out with, hence we're stuck at home with our families. It's a vicious cycle.

luckily, they both got up the next day, and were fine. It helped that mum was at work from quite early, and dad and i were kept busy with the packing for spending christmas at nans. thelordharry, I'm up at shoeburyness, so i'm near ya

so it all worked out in the end.
