well, every family is disfunctional, usually you just don't notice, but then you go meet your spouse's family and their disfunctionality and it drives you absolutly nuts.

Hence the hatred of the in-laws.

The girl that I'm talking to right now doesn't get along with my mom too well. I just told both of them to keep it to themselves around me. :?

You do realize you're calling the Voyager writers your cousins, right? :worried:

Is there a need to qualify our families as "dysfunctional," though, my cousins? There's no such thing as a completely "functional" family, so why the extra word?

Sure there are. They're all fictional, but hey, they still count, right?

getting back to the families

all families are obviously functional, just in their own disfunctional way. hence the annoyance of the spouse.

It's the Ford Escort here in the U.S. I used to have an '89 Escort LX model with manual tranny and 14" tires. I could go anywhere in that baby because of the front wheel drive. And it handled pretty well for a compact because of the MacPherson struts all around. I miss that car.
It's gotten a bit chilly out here, and it snowed a couple of inches. I love it, but for the most part, people out here see a snowflake and freak out because they don't know how to drive in the white stuff, especially the Asian old women (no offense Tsu!).
My parents had something like 3 escorts. All of them were either destroyed, buried by snow or in a disgusting colour, in one case a combination of two.

And...lol I can almost see Tsuki in a Kimono :D

Excuse any typos, as I've just finished gouging out my own eyes.

Anyway, I actually get along with my mother-in-law better than I do with my mother. And my sisters-in-law get along better with my sister than they do with me!
