Captain Picard's Hair wrote:::: TV voice: It's 10 O'clock. Do you know where your wife is? :::
Nah, that'd be controlling.

Captain Picard's Hair wrote:Congrats Mikey!
Thank you. I was trying to avoid my other overplayed line:
"Hey, congratulations! I understand your wife is pregnant?"
"That's right, and when I find the b*****d..."
:::
TV voice: It's 10 O'clock. Do you know where your wife is? :::
I don't.
:::looks over at girlfriend:::
Have you seen her?
I know. I'm evil. I'm going to hell.

Even better:
"It's 10 o'clock. Does your wife know where you are?"

We've got ice storms in NH and all over NE at the moment. I call up work to see if they want me to go in. No response. Day before, they tell us if Rochester schools are delayed/closed, to come in 2 hours later than scheduled. So, I go in for 9 AM. Turns out, store's lost power. I go in, help put product from the display coolers and meat wall into the coolers, among other stuff. Then they ask if anyone wants to go home.
So, here I am, warm and snug while it ices up outside. *Puts feet up and leans back*

TX, one and all. I'm more excited that everything looks well and everyone seems to be healthy, but if I have to admit - it will be nice to spend some time in the future picking out football pads instead of princess dresses. My daughter is definitely a daddy's girl, but there are certain things over which a mother and daughter can bond, and I'm out of the loop.

I'd love to send him, but the commute'll be about a bitch...

Rats.
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a trombone student! I know a 24 year-old college grad flautist who has 25 students! At $40/hr for each student every week, that's a pretty good part time job. Me? I had a couple students once... I forget their names; they probably never knew mine. And I had to commute over an hour just to teach them. Plus they couldn't always afford to pay me, and they were pretty lazy students, except for this one guy who had a cool name.

I used to play the tuba, on long term I might return to blowing air into copper tubes, but it'll probably be a piccolo, not a trombone.
Well,. today I had a very interesting excursion to a castle/manor. Bloody tired now, from all the travelling, social activity, information intake, standing, and so on...

Standing is surprisingly exhausting.
