I've got a plan. Check the game thread.
We should have someone outside, if only to let the others know whether or not half the planet is about to descend on them. My guy's pretty adept at waiting and watching, so if Zirk sets up the bomb before the attack itself then I can hang around to see if the army does start moving towards us. I doubt it takes any real skill to use a detonator, so Zirk can rejoin the rest of the group.

Of course; Space Wolf.

Sionnach - not bad, but two questions come to mind: 1) I thought you'd be the one to take the kill shots at the main targets, and 2) you could potentially have to make your way alone through a horde of Nobz to the extraction point.

His being the cover frees my character and his weapons to join the fight which isn't a bad thing.

Worse then that, what happens if more then one Ork starts after him from the road? Snipers are great against single targets but not so great against hordes.
(My having a Dread would have been really nice right about now.)

We'll be fighting primarily in caves, and whatever tunnel network the boyz have carved out inside the mountain. Mainly confined areas, logically. Not really the best place for a sniper. I think Deep's heavy weapons might be better suited to taking down a Warboss in such a situation.

If everything goes right, I may not have to even fire a single shot. I'll cover you while you plant the bomb. Since this will happen before the rest of the group attacks, we may get away with planting it without being spotted. If so, then all I need to do is find somewhere where I can observe the mountain pass.
Once troops start coming up, I blow the charges and bring the mountain down. That should trap the Greenskins on the other side. Since I've not fired a shot, they still won't know where I am.
From there I move to a position where I can observe the extraction point. I'll find a nice place to hide where I can see the EP and the surrounding area, and wait for you guys to kill the targets. Once you've done that, vox me to let me know that you're coming. At that point I'll take down any greenskins hanging around the EP (there shouldn't be many - most Orks will have run off to join the battle inside) as quickly and quietly as possible. Then it's just a matter of finding a new hiding spot from where I can keep the area clear with my rifle until our shuttle turns up.
Since you lot will be providing the mother of all distractions for me, I should encounter little resistance. Since my guy's pretty good at hiding and climbing, I should be able to avoid any patrols that are still wandering around the area easily enough.
See? I have this all thought out.

Say as much in game and I'll agree.

Since I just got the image of a SM using a grenade launcher as a pistol... I'm going to trade my Bolt Pistol out.

A GL will be find for a secondary weapon. However because of the size of the ammo and that you're already carrying a heavy bolter ammo will be limited. I'll get stats later.

Astartes Grenades
Frag Grenades *4* - (SB*3) - Damage 3d10+5 / Pen 2 / blast 6
Krak Grenades *2* - (SB*3) - Damage 3d10+10 / Pen 10 / Directed Charge
On page 131 DH, they have a grenade launcher listed.
Basic 60m S/-/- Clip 6, special*, reload full
I'll just take 3 drums, one in the weapon plus 2 reserve.

Well do you want to use one line a pistol or a basic weapon. If a pistol then take the one listed and use standard grenades. You want to use Astartes grenades and it'll be a basic weapon.

I was going to take it as basic. SM frags > IG frags. Plus, fitting the mags on me shouldn't be too hard. My guy is built to be a walking ammo dump.

Then those stats work. Actually increase the range to 90m.

Cool beans.
Actually increase the range to 90m.
I had thought about that since 60m seemed very short but I didn't want to just jump on your plans.
I'll edit the CS now.

Well since you can throw a grenade 36 meters it doesn't make much sense to me to put it in a gun and only get another 67% range.
