They don't drink. Otherwise, that's a good plan. I'll have to bring that up with her. :)

The last time I moved, I did the whole thing by myself. That sucked, for sure. This time, I'm quite a bit more disabled, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet, and hire movers for the heavy stuff. :?
If you don't mind me asking, how'd you become disabled?

Ah, I remember my last move... my brother-in-law was still in high school, so we had his entire offensive line for the cost of three cases of Bud. The best part is, the more we paid them - the harder they worked!

Anyhow, best of luck. Credit is a weird situation - having too much debt, even if you pay it all on time evey time, is a negative to your creditworthiness... but having none, as in "no debt," is also considered to be a negative. However, if your prospective new landlord is willing to have personal references, a strong deposit, etc., offset that, you should be in good shape.

Nothing special. When I was eight, I was doing auditions for commercials, etc. so I needed a portfolio. We went out to Dana Point to take some photos, and I climbed a tree for part of the shoot (the pictures actually came out great). When we went to leave, my mom warned me not to jump down; I misjudged the height, and jumped anyways. It was only about eight feet, but both of my knees basically popped backwards, and I tore out the majority of my ACLs (Anterior Cruciate Ligaments). It was passable for a while, but twenty years later, I can hardly make it to the kitchen or the bathroom some days.

The lesson: when your mom tells you not to jump from the tree, don't jump from the f***ing tree. :|

Mikey - that's the plan. Throw money at them until they relent. This particular property has been sitting empty for three months that I know of.

In the course of your negotiations, remind the landlord of that early and often.

Oh, I did. There are plenty of properties I've been looking at.

Staplic - no. White Castle Hamburgers never really caught on in California anyways.

After that, I ended up having to turn down a Disney project because I couldn't really walk for a while.

As a result, I focused more on my own stories, though, and that's what I'm best at.

At the moment, I'm unemployed. :?

I have a job waiting for me at the Alamo Drafthouse ticket booth, but I need to move first. I'll not have my car burglarized again (here, anyways). :x
