As to the medical trials - they're tough to get spots on. I once responded to an ad for a test for type-1 diabetics, male, age 28 -36, on injections (rather than the pump) - and I was told I was a third alternate!

Sounds like easy money still though.

Well, my meeting with the broker went well; the house is rather nice, and he sounds like the owners are willing to make a deal with me. Now, I need to do the application rigamarole, and let them run a background check, and hopefully it will work out.

On the background check and rental history, I'm in great shape. The fact that I don't own a credit card, or even have a bank account might make this deal a bit pricey, though.

The last time I moved, I did the whole thing by myself. That sucked, for sure. This time, I'm quite a bit more disabled, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet, and hire movers for the heavy stuff.

That's not a terrible idea. The guy bales hay for hours every weekend; moving a refrigerator and a few dressers using a dolly would be easy.

That way, she gets to hang out with you for an afternoon, and you can get his services for maybe just the cost of lunch and the beer.
