1126, Day Two

As soon as Naja had the guard safely contained, Trask pressed the barrel of his revolver into the man's temple hard enough to leave a mark. "Open it - quietly," Milo hissed. The guard whimpered a bit, then as soon as Naja released one of his arms he pressed a small transmitter on his belt. A tell-tale winked green and the guard pushed open the door.

Naja went in, pushing the guard before him, followed by Trask and Karibi. They were surprised to see Enrick, Phebia, Haxta, and Pahr sitting with a strange man and an ogryn - all completely unbound and in no apparent distress. "Are we interrupting?" Trask asked sarcastically.

1126 Day Two:

"Not at all, we are in fact finished with our business. I'm sure your comrades here will fill you in." At the man stands and signals for his comrades to join him as he leaves. As he passes his now manacled guard he nods at the Ogryn, who swiftly decapitates the human shield with his cleaver. "You may keep his equipment, you earned it."

He and his remaining associates depart, the ghost of a smile on the agents face.

Phebia watched the agents leave including the decapitation with detached interest. After they left she approached the slumped over body and kneeled down to start rifling through the body's belongings. "I see the Ordo Malleus' tolerance for fools is lacking. Maybe you should join Trask." She reached into his coat pockets and pulled out a coin purse, giving it a quick shake before stuffing it in one of her own pockets. She slid his shotgun off his shoulder along with the pouch of shells attached to it and kept it before flipping the dead man's vox to Pahr. "Next time lets not do it this throned damned way."

Haxta stared at the headless body as Phebia rooted through the man's belonging. " If that's the way he treats his own men..." she said, leaving the implication hanging.

Enrick laughed at Haxta. "Don't worry so much little one. You should take all of this as a good sign. This guard seems to be about the norm of what this Man brings. Other then the Ogryn, that means they're of little threat."

Walking over Phebia and kicked the body on the ground. "Looks like you've made out. Congrads to that."

"She has a point. The Ogryn might be his own operative and the others just local muscle." She looked pointedly at Enrick. "Which group do you think we'll fall into with him?" She examined the shotgun. "Servicable, but far from perfect. Still good in a tight space."

Enrick frowned. "We're in the unknowns group for him. That means he has only two choices. Work with us and hope everything goes well and the likes. Or kill us and for go any risk to his mission. To whatever fits his fancy, he knows our options are gonna be the same." Enrick kicked the headless body again. "I'd figure that this was as much if not more so a warning to us then it was a punishment to this sap. I'm more now the feeling we should have killed that fool while we had him here. I could have taken big ugly and you guys could have easily handled the rest. Now we've lost that chance."
She examined the shotgun. "Servicable, but far from perfect. Still good in a tight space."
Erick took the shotgun and looked it over. "Needs a good cleaning but other then that it looks to be in good shape. Seems to come with a fair bit of ammo too." Handing the weapon back to Phebia. "I can take a closer look over the weapon if you want me too later. Just to be on the safe side."

"So," Karibi said. "Care to tell the rest of us what exactly was going on? Who was that man?"

" He's a demon hunter," Haxta answered Karibi. " It seems there might be more to our investigation then just a bunch of local cultists." She proceeded to fill in the details.

"He might still be of use to us if there's even a scrap of truth to what he said, and if there's not, we'll kill him when we're done." Phebia looked over the shotty then nodded at Enrick. "Sure thing."

"Ordo Malleus, or so he claims. As far as I can tell he was legitimate. He says they're here looking into the possibility of someone trying to summon a daemon. He says the Seer received a new tarot deck recently and has been acting strange. He thinks the Seer is involved in some way, maybe even orchestrating it. He wants us to look into the possibility of some kind of wide ranging cult while he focuses on stopping the summoning."

1127 Day 2

"Then we should gut the cocksucker until he squeals." Octavian chimes in. "If he is meddling in the affairs of perversion and evil then we should remedy the blight he is creating in this world by offing the fucker... after his tongue has loosen enough for a scribe to record his misdeeds."

"Hmmm." Trask was nonplussed. "If he is Malleus, then he had all the resources at his disposal to set us up exactly the way we thought Aristarchus did. Which one do we trust? My vote is 'neither." Trask truned to leave, then looked thoughtful and turned back around. "Oh, sister," he said, with a sarcastic tinge of sweetness in his voice, "here's a tidbit I'm sure you'll appreciate. Did your new Malleus buddy tell you that he's a psyker, sure as I am or Aristarchus is?"

Phebia's lip curled up in disgust. "I'm surrounded by witches." She glanced between Enrick and Octavian. "Maybe I should have gone with their ideas. Atleast we'd have one dead psyker around here." She looked Trask over. "What the hell happened to you anyways?"

"So glad I came after you when we thought you were in trouble," Trask answered sarcastically. "Yeah, it's funny how you hate people for being psykers, then go buddy up with one just 'cause he has some story behind him."
Tyyr wrote:She looked Trask over. "What the hell happened to you anyways?"
Milo shrugged noncomitally, thinking about the circumstances surrounding his father's death - or murder, depending on one's point of view - and how unfounded accusation were tossed as cover-ups. He became suddenly taciturn, and simply answered, "Occupational hazard."

"Or how not being one of you warp cursed freaks I can't tell who's a psyker and who isn't by looking at them? Imbecile," Phebia said as she pushed passed him into the foyer and out into the hab block.
