Well, I'm just back to the hospital after having surgery on my foot to remove an ingrown toenail. So I'm now stuck at home for the next few days due to being unable to do anything other than hobble.

Well, here's my real life update.
I am now beginning to look for sources of money. I need to have 1700 before the end of the month and another 1700 two months after that.
And I have a credit rating of zero, so a private loan is not an option, especially in this economy.

Man, that's a lot of money. Have you tried to appeal, or talked to anyone at the college about the situation?

Yes. They cannot help me directly. All of the financial aid goes through the state. And according to the state, because for one semester my grades dropped below some minimum (even though I have disabilities and my grandfather was dieing at the time), I do not qualify.
As the state has spoken, the school's hands are tied.

Well, that just sucks moose balls, Stitch. But I know how it works - when my wife checked "Native American" on her law school applications and aid requests (she's 1/8 Leni Lenape,) we got letters requesting her BIA number.

Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Yeah, they'll help, after you prove you're native american, and go through all of that rigamarole.

I'm a native American. I was born here. :P

Seriously though, I have looked for aid of that type, and so far nothing.

That sucks, Stitch. Any chance you can appeal to your parents?

We're already low on cash (and credit). And they have been paying for the past three years; it isn't fair.
