Funny thing is, both sides have valid points. And in a court of law... it would pretty much be up to the Judge's interpret ion of everyone's statements.
And I would not want to be that judge.

I'd be impressed if we had a Judge agree with any of what he said. I've seen people use that line before and I've not once seen a Judge rule in their favor.

What, that you can't magically and unilaterally invent new conditions for a contract that's already been signed?
Re: Alpha Star Trek Sim discussion
Some judges would agree that the implications of the wording of the treaty would be valid, while others would say that the wording of the treaty was not clear enough, and did not specify an end, either of indefinity or definity (yes, I made those words up).

No, that people are so pathetically stupid as to honestly think that this would hold up in a court.
Look, most of the people here are dumb enough to fall for it anyways. So again, lets keep the spin-docs in the IC thread where they belong.

A judge upheld the position of the moron in the "hot" coffee trial instead of supporting McDonalds.
I'm sure I can find ten judges in 30 minutes that would support the Tadiians (or whatever they are).

Was that a judge or an out of court settlement?

The case went to trial, Jury found in the womans favor, the Judge reduced the punitive damages, both sides appealed the ruling but settled before the appeal could be heard.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Okay so the judge sided against it, good to know.

Re: Alpha Star Trek Sim discussion
That is a relief. So we have a jury to blame for that one (hence why a jury of my peers is not so appealing).

In fact it would be appealing because they would so happily rule in your favor.

Turns are sent. News today.

Well yeah, if they were actually my peers. I meant the legal systems version of peers. IE every moron on the street. With a few intelligent folk mixed in. Though it seems most of the intelligent ones find a way out of jury duty.Deepcrush wrote:In fact it would be appealing because they would so happily rule in your favor.
