That, of course, is Uchu Senkan Yamato (Space Battleship Yamato) from the old anime, and yes - that big hole in the prow is the muzzle of one of the B-est of all BFG's.

Every time I hear about that series I always get a small chuckle. Always been a pet peeve of mine. Goa'uld ships were supposed to land on pyramids (and did in the show) but these ships are not even of the right proportion and three sided, not four sided. I always wondered why they went with that.
