Airplane.

Too easy. Far, far too easy.

:c

You'd be surprised how many people fail that question. It's scary.

I'd fail, considering I've never seen it.

You must remedy this problem. Immediately.

You're obviously not drinking enough then.

The Vulcan's seemed to have colony worlds already in the time of ENT (such as P'Jem, its a small monastery but the underground facility could provide an emergency home). I can see them relocating to such a world.

However, whether 10k is a viable minimum population or not is another matter. Don't Vulcans only come on "heat" every 7 years? Surely thats going to have some effect on the population birthrate.

I'm not aware of anything saying that Vulcan females are only fertile once every seven years. Yes once every seven years Vulcans really need to get laid but is that their only opportunity to reproduce?

As for the minimum viable population, we have no idea what that is for Vulcans. Given that no one was talking about extinction or like this couldn't be recovered from I'd venture a guess that 10k is enough for the green blooded bastards.

To be fair, we don't know at what age Vulcan women are no longer able to bear children. And with a Vulcan living over two centuries, they COULD make up for it.

All Fair, I wasn't saying that it was proof either way. I was merely making a statement.

Mr. Quaid DID say that, didn't he. I think HE may very well have been quoting Airplane, though.

 Airplane? Really? Ah right... I was going to say "I remember 'and that was the beginning of my drinking problem' but not 'i picked a hell of a day to quit drinking."" -- that was the control tower captain who also picked the wrong time to quit amphetamines and sniffing glue right?
