The Stargate SG-1 episode Prometheus almost exactly mirrors the Voyager episode Message In A Bottle.
-Top secret ship named Prometheus. check
-Ships gets hijacked by people. check

Me!
And you look quite striking. Shame the rest of your staff seems to have deserted their posts.

First watch MiaB and then watch Prometheus. You can't tell me, those two episodes don't mirror each other almost exactly.

Yes, but what does this have to do with the thread? It's about Trek stuff people wouldn't have known about. I don't see how an SG-1 episode being similar really applies here.

How many people actually knew that? This thread was about facts about trek no one knew.

A couple? Alaimo used to hold the record for the number of different characters before Combs passed him.

Well if there was a Redshirt in command, I'd damn well abandon ship as well.

Tim Russ (Tuvok) was a lieutenant in the bridge of Enterprise B in Generations and, of course, looks exactly like Tuvok when we saw flashbacks of him aboard Excelsior wearing that period's outfit. I don't remember if he was a vulcan too but that would have been great.
Also he was a pirate in Starship Mine, he was killed by the green light. In that ep we saw Patricia Tallman (Lita Alexander from B5) as another pirate.

The leader of the terrorist group in Starhsip Mine played Dodger in Bablylon 5 - that Gropo that Garibaldi gropoed.
Patricia Tallman was also on the Defiant in Way of the Warrior - I think she bought it.

No, Tim Russ's character in GEN was a human. But while we're on it, the Tuvok thing does demonstrate some of the absurdities of trying to portray a Vulcan lifespan with human actors. If we go by the dates from Memory Alpha: by 2293, when Spock was 61 years old, he already looked like a 60 year old actor; but in 2371 Tuvok was 136, much older than Spock was in STVI, and he looked like a 38 year old actor.

Easily explained. Spock is half Vulcan, half Human. He ages at a different pace than full blooded Vulcans.
