Uhh.....yeah....about that.
They say that in the Army,

We have the option to edit any post; sometimes it can be easy to mix up the "edit" and "quote" buttons, even though they're separated by other buttons.Cpl Kendall wrote:Mine is hitting "save" instead of "preview".
I've done it twice, but realized there were no [quote tags on the text before I did anything.

I did it once and typed my message in and put it up before realising I'd just put words in someone elses mouth.
Fortunately I hit backup a few times and got to the original message again, so I copied it, edited the post again, pasted the original text back in and put it up. Big save, yay me! 8)

I assume that was before the big software change? With the current iteration, hitting the back button just takes you to a blank reply box.GrahamKennedy wrote:I did it once and typed my message in and put it up before realising I'd just put words in someone elses mouth.

Yes, but hit it again and you get to the original post.
Or did, anyway, I haven't tried it in a while.

I avoid the edit/quote thing by quoing inside the reply box instead of the main page.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Hm? I can hit back and the post restores itself to normal, regardless of any tampering I may have done.I assume that was before the big software change? With the current iteration, hitting the back button just takes you to a blank reply box.

Re: 10years of Insurrection
I simply didn't like the idea of this as a movie. It wasn't bad, but did not have that epic feel. As a 2 part episode, this would have been pretty enjoyable. Really, though, for something that was meant to be a major motion picture, it just didn't grab me the way any of the other films did. Even Star Trek V, for all its fault, had a certain epicness to it, and I don't mean epic fail.

Re: 10years of Insurrection
That's all Insurrection (and, to an extent, Generations) was - a typical TNG two-parter. Hell, even Redemption and BoBW had a more epic basic story than Insurrection.

BOBW would have been great as a film, I think. Like FC without the time travel. Imagine seeing the Battle of Wolf 359 from start to finish with movie-level effects.

Re: 10years of Insurrection
It would have been great at the time - as far as I can remember there'd never been an onscreen battle of that scale seen on screen in Trek before.
Maybe a scene or two onboard the Melbourne prior to the battle, and during.

Re: 10years of Insurrection
What could have been done to make Insurrection more epic, then?

Thaqt would make an awesome movie all by itself.the Battle of Wolf 359 from start to finish with movie-level effects.
More brass in the music. Beter space battle. Much of what Rochey suggersted on page one. What could have been done to make Insurrection more epic, then?
