Because modern film makers assume their audience is retarded, and need everything spelled out to them. Why must bad guys all ways look like bad guys. Khan didnt look evil.
If the Deflector is on top, I presume the red thing we get a glimpse of on the underside is a single nacelle? What a freaking weird looking ship. The bridge does look different indeed.Reliant121 wrote:What the HELL have they done to the Kelvin? That dish thing on the top? Just what in gods name are they doing?
other than that, no complaints. Zachary Quinto looks to be doing good though.
If that is the case, i think i might have lost faith completely. The film optimist has lost faith. huh, they are doomed.Captain Picard's Hair wrote:If the Deflector is on top, I presume the red thing we get a glimpse of on the underside is a single nacelle? The ship was attacked by the Romans (they have gone beyong being based on the Romans to using their names pretty blatantly) before Kirk's Time. I mean its like Paramount had a meeting and someone asked the question "What didn't we fuck up in Enterprise?" and they realized that they had actually managed, through a freak bit of luck no doubt, to not have messed up the Deflector, from there I'm sure people wanted to install a Sovereign Deflector or other such crap... I bet in the next article the Kelvan has MVAM so it can be a true Uber-CruiserCaptain Picard's Hair wrote:Plus, as Kuvah notes, the Cyclops's ..., er, Kelvin's "modern" looking deflector is out of place on a ship which is otherwise not as streamlined as the more modern ships and appears to have at least a somewhat older looking nacelle (never mind that it's just too damn old to have such a thing as that deflector), never mind the odd eye-on-a-stalk look.
Legionaries, make ready Gladia and hold fast to Scuta! Load Ballista! Prepare to engage the barbarian armies of Kirkus!KuvahMagh wrote:The ship was attacked by the Romans (they have gone beyong being based on the Romans to using their names pretty blatantly) before Kirk's Time.
