Indeed. Telepaths present a horrible legal problem. I'm profoundly glad that such metal powers remain firmly in the realms of fantasy.

It sounds like I might enjoy B5 if it takes realistic approaches to issues.

It is good, it does run off the rails a bit when the Narn start venerating G'Kar as a religious figure but that's a side issue. Season five blows goats though.

She was. The real problem I had with Five was that B5 wasn't going to be picked up another season, so they shoehorned everything into Four and then they got picked up. So Season Five is mostly filler.

The opinionated bit was for the "blows" bit :) meant as a joke.

Well, I'd be pissed sure, but I wouldn't count it as cheating.
Why would you be angry?
Because I lost a lot of money in this scinario.
I'm profoundly glad that such metal powers remain firmly in the realms of fantasy.
As far as you know at least :P

I'd be delighted to be proven wrong. I'm hardly holding my breath though.

Telepaths? Just send the Black Ships for them.

Anyway, to address GK's original point - I attribute it more towards Odo's pragmatic style than a variance in Starfleet's/the UFP's policy on such matters. Odo was not Starfleet, and he worked for a non-UFP government.

True, pretty much anytime I remember people being arrested it was under Bajoran law. He had to enforce Starfleet Regulations but I think the Civillian population was bound by Bajoran Law rather than Federation, since it was a Bajoran Station within Bajoran Space and was only being administered by Starfleet.

And since the Bajoran's never had an issue with telepaths they probably never thought to make up laws regarding them.
