I happen to like the character of Iblis Ginjo the most! He was the Jihad. As to the one woman with one dead child. The point wasn't that the kid died but that she showed that the machines could be fought. Win or lose there was hope. Its a poorly thought out story of hope and dreams turned in to rage and violence.
