I always thought the premise was a pretty dead hook - we know they solve the Drakh plague based on the future episodes in B5, and of course it didn't go long enough to get much past that storyline, so I never really had much interest.GrahamKennedy wrote:Crusade had promise, but the premise was a bit shakey IMO, and its budget showed from time to time. Worth a watch, but it was no B5.Chris Propst wrote:Did anyone watch Crusade? I never saw it but I haven't heard good things. The intro supported this.
What about Legend of the Rangers, The Lost Tales, all that stuff? Was any of that any good?
The universe was really cool, but I felt pretty satisfied with the end of the series.

I would liked too have seen how the ISA handled the Drakh. Them and all the other Shadow allies that got left behind. Now that would have been worth watching. Seeing the ISA coming together. Learning how to work as a single body instead of a bunch of single parts like the LoNAW did.

According to JMS, the Drakh Plague was going to be dealt with by Crusade's second season. That storyline was going to lead into more government conspiracies with the Earth Alliance involving Shadow technology. I would have really enjoyed seeing where that went.

The novels and source books really give some good reading on those events. ISA's ban on shadow tech, though they catch the Centari Republic and Earth Alliance using it on their new gen ships. Some seasons on tv about that would have been fun to watch.

When were those books written?
If they were written after Crusade was canceled, then, they could very well have been written with JMS' notes.

I don't know when they were written. Though JMS has never spoken against them.

Cool, must look out for them.
