The one's that hated the food... their home cooked meals are probably just loaded with tomatoes and onions.
Italian grandma - "Oh, itsa so goud now!"
Everyone else - "No, now it is just 80% tomatoes..."

Either that, or - unlike Olive Garden - their home-cooked meals actually taste like home-cooked regional Italian food, and have flavors other than salt and canned tomatoes.
