Both gunships? I'm not sure what you're getting at; it's not like we have a ship with lance arrays in orbit, and I don't think Ferringo is going to be able to get a squad of Astartes down here within 10 minutes.

Well what if it leads somewhere the gunship can't hit? For instance if it dumps out into a cavern or something. Karibi, Phebia, and Haxta hustle ahead in a gunship. At the other end Haxta sets up a trap with explosives. The rest of ya'll drive him to us. When the Overseer comes out (I assume to some kind of vehicle) we blow his ass up and I pump the remains full of bolts if the gunship can't get to him.

See my IC post. Based off what we know IC these things aren't fighters. It's a manipulator. Well that's all gone to shit. It's not got the resources to just take over the world now that it's cover is blown. It'll run as fast as it can and bug out.

And you're drastically over estimating my bolter's ability to hurt this thing in a meaningful way.

Question: Do either of the gunships have any demo charges with them, or am I going to have to rig up my grenades into make shift bombs, cause I'm fresh out.

Then the best course of action would be to either blow it up with Haxta's explosives, or just unload the gunship's ammunition on it. In which case it'd serve us better if you were with the others helping to drive it towards the gunship itself.

Well, here's hoping there's no resistance on the other end, that the end of the bolt hole is somewhere easy for the gunship to target, and the thing doesn't arrive before Haxta finishes. Because if any of those go south it's over.

I still think you're all forgetting this thing is a manipulator, it's plan is fucked, wasting time fighting us will only increase the likelyhood more forces will come down on its head. The only course of action for it that makes any sense is to run as fast as it can. I doubt it'll be so much "driving" it towards the other end as it will be running as fast as you can to try and keep up.

Yes, and from Phebia's PoV she's very likely dumping herself right in this things path with no support aside from Karibi's pistol and Haxta's grenades.
