Well, I finally heard from Uzume... She's very upset at her inconsiderate attitude (it's pretty much like you said, Mark); once she started drinking, etc, she just stayed out, because her bf doesn't care for her going to bars, and she didn't want to come home. She said everything I was going to chew her out on (saving me a lot of talking), and was rather remorseful. I took the opportunity to remind her that we've been working on being better people together; that is something everyone should work on, IMO, and we've been at it for several years now. I'm going to press the attack (since she's vulnerable), and help her see that the high road has the better view.

Please, wish me luck. Like I said, she means everything to me, and I have to help her. She's my best friend.

Good luck dude. BUT, don't preach. I made that very mistake recently, and it did more harm than good. One of the men I sponsor started using again, and I kind of took it personally, and went from loving support to preaching. Didn't help things at all.

Of course. Never worked on me either; I have a much more subtle and insidious method. :happydevil:

Nah, they just hung out for a few minutes. It was good, though; I've never really had the chance to sit and talk with him. I'm... a lot happier about the situation now. He's a cool guy.
