You're forgetting the cost to refit it to US specs. Not just emissions, catalytic ocnverter, etc.; but depending on proximity to the ocean, etc., the frame and sheet would need to be wax-coated, vulcanized, e-coated, or some such.

Fair point. I was unaware that American cars had such differences, and had not thought of the climate.

My fiancee just started riding horses again, and I've been going to watch her at her lessons. She used to play intramural Horse Polo at UC Davis, but had a riding accident a few years ago, and just now has gotten the inclination to get back into it.
Anyways, there's something about watching girls riding horses... It might be the breeches. It might be their posture. It might be the athleticism. It could also be that horses are neat. Who knows.

I wasn't saying that I'm positive that modifications are necessary in that respect. I do know, however, that when Holden built the Pontiac GTO, they had to be specially corrosion-proofed and e-coated for the US... even though I'm fairly certain that Australia borders the ocean.

Here's a toast to DITL's MASSIVE Procrastination Quotient.

I'll drink to that. I will say, the last month of unemployment has really made me appreciate the people on this board and the conversations the topics bring. A real shame we can't all beam together once a month for drinks.

I wonder what a DITL night out would be like. I imagin I would get tired of Mikeys "In my day we had to walk barefoot 15 miles to the pub, and then we had to brew our own beer" speech pretty quick
