Sun Crusher is just off the charts in terms of what is wrong with the EU.Captain Seafort wrote:The Eclipse isn't too bad - it's superlaser is weak enough compared the the Death Stars that it's reasonable.Jordanis wrote:The Eclipse SSD is an example of everything that is wrong with the Star Wars EU.

Not quite - not while the incomprehensible shite that is Karen Traviss' writings (and her attitude to everyone who points out there shittyness) exist.Jordanis wrote:Sun Crusher is just off the charts in terms of what is wrong with the EU.
I am unfamiliar with this author. Please elaborate, I sense something hilariously stupid.Captain Seafort wrote:Not quite - not while the incomprehensible shite that is Karen Traviss' writings (and her attitude to everyone who points out there shittyness) exist.Jordanis wrote:Sun Crusher is just off the charts in terms of what is wrong with the EU.
She thinks that only three million people fought in the Clone Wars. She rabidly defends those numbers, even when people point out to her that having three million soldiers in a galaxy-spanning war is ridiculous. She never stops going on about how uber the Mandalorians were, and even made up a rather ridiculous language for them. In her latest book, she made a cheap jab at Curtis Saxton, and people who pointed out to her the stupidity of her numbers.I am unfamiliar with this author. WTF. I thought the Star Wars EU was managed. Why do they keep publishing her crap?Rochey wrote:She thinks that only three million people fought in the Clone Wars. So, yeah. Hilariously stupid, and immature.
If you could answer that you'd make a lot of people very grateful.Jordanis wrote:WTF. I thought the Star Wars EU was managed. Why do they keep publishing her crap?
Close - they were apparently conspiring to keep the "truth" of the Clone Wars being a "series of minor skirmishes" a secret. Basically yet more of her attempts to justify her figure of 3 million clones.Rochey wrote:I've heard there was some crap in one of her books about the Jedi Council conspiring with Palpatine to extend the length of the war. Is that true, or just a rumour?
