Haxta almost asked, " Are you sure?", but decided it wouldn't be the best thing to say under the circumstances. Still, she instinctually moved closer to Phebia and Enrich, not exactly putting much faith in Nurk's promise of "no harm"

1116 Day 2

After a moment or two, Karibi finaly managed to snag the bartender's attention.

"Hey," He said once the bartender wandered over to him. "you know those guys that were here a few minutes ago? The guys with the painted faces? We're looking for some local muscle to help with some heavy lifting for our ship. We could use some help with the repairs. You wouldn't happen to know where the big guy that was with them lives, would you?"

1116 Day Two:

The bartender flashes you and a smile before replying, "Aye, just a minute I'll write it down for yoos." He goes off to find a stylus and a pad, returning a minute later with a set of directions and hands them over, then goes back to tending his customers.

Enrick grunted seeing the newcomers surround his team. Quickly drawing his shotgun and knife. "Unless less anyone's got a better plan, we should follow." Leaning to whisper to Phebia and Haxta... "If anything goes wrong, I'll take the big guy, you two take care of the fodder behind us." Enrick followed the Ogryn, being sure to keep himself between the enemy and his comrades.

Phebia nodded to Enrick and followed the Ogryn.

"They seem to have their own trail to follow," Trask murmured to Karibi, "and they don't need me for backup. I'll go back with you and see if we can find any further info."

"Well, that worked out a lot better than I expected." Karibi commented quietly to Trask, showing him the adress. "Shall we get going?"

"Indeed," Milo answered the adept. "The sooner we figure out exactly what - and who - is going on around here, the better I'll feel about getting on that transport in the morning. Hopefully, Pahr is alright and will be able to illuminate the issue."

1117 Day Two:

The Ogryn leads Henrick, Haxta and Phebia into a dingy, poorly lit room and through into the chamber where Pahr and the Malleus operative sit. He gestures for you to stand by Pahr, closes the door before he and the other men disguised as cultists take positions in each corner. The Ogryn takes the corner nearest the door, his shotgun still at the ready.

The Malleus operative looks at each of you in turn before clearing his throat and speaking, "your party has left me in an awkward position. We are here to investigate the return of an entity, long thought gone and your Seer may be involved. By all rights, I should simply have you killed and the Seer interrogated. Though it may be possible that he is simply a dupe or unaware of what is happening or a decoy. I would like your assistance to be frank. What say you?"

1118 Day 2

"Well....damn." Marco sighed. The adress had only led them back to the hab-block they'd initialy been snooping around earlier. He turned to the psyker. "Well, better start knocking, I guess."

"Wait." Trask's reply was simple, curt, and spoken in a low tone that gave Karibi goosebumps. Trask looked around, to ensure that the pair wasn't under direct observation, then lowered his staff to an oblique angle and closed his eyes. A gale wind arose out of nowhere and swirled around just the courtyard of the hab-block, confining itself to a 10-meter radius but swirling Trask half a meter into the air and buffetting Karibi. The adept shot a concerned look at Trask, who answered, "Just preparing."

Milo closed his eyes again, concentrated for a split-second, and then rose 4 meters into the air. Karibi's hair stood on end, charged with static electricity, and small arcs leapt between Milo's fingers and raced around his eyes. Trask presently fell back down to the ground and looked up at the walls of the building. Resettling on his feet, he glanced at the unsettled adept and said, "Let's go. Psyker on the ground floor, third door on the left." Trask loosened his sword in its scabbard and strode quickly toward the door of the hab.

Enrick spit on the floor in front of the Malleus agent. "That was your first thought? You kill us, we kill you, we all die and then nothing gets done." His shotgun in one hand and his sword gripped in the other. "Then you think, first time for everything, that after talking up your little fit. That we would give a damn about helping you solve your problem that has already gotten us dragged out here." Enrick laughed at the Malleus agent. "As you say, by all rights I should cut you in half, followed by gutting your friends here for interfering with a Mission of the Emperor and abducting a Servant of the Emperor."

Phebia's hand tightened around the grip of her carbine, twisting it slightly towards the nearest painted agent. "Your people skills leave something to be desired," she said. "First you casually threaten to kill us then you ask for our cooperation. I do believe you have that backwards."

1120 Day Two:

Nurk steps forward at Enrich's spitting, clearly intending to gut him where he stands, when he is stopped by the Malleus agents upraised hand. "I admire your spirit, both of you. Now let us be frank, you clearly do not think much of this mission of yours Guardsmen. Nor do I much blame you, it often falls to those such as us to do the bilge work. However...if someone is trying to summon something back, would you rather face it with just your friends or with the assistance of the Malleus. We do have some small experience in these matters. And if your contact has anything to do with it, you would be further serving Him on Earth by joining up with us."

He pauses to light another lho-stick and takes a draw before continuing, "or you may simply refuse and walk out. It is your choice, as you allude, it is not wise to interfere too much in the affairs of another Ordo."

Enrick eyed up the little agent and the Ogryn next to him. "You sure do love the sound of that voice of yours don't you." Putting up a quick hush finger. "Wait, that wasn't a question. I don't have time to listen to another speech. I need to eat sometime this year before I get grumpy." Taking a step towards the exit but keeping his body and attention on the agent and Ogryn. "You know though. Instead of talking so much. You should spend sometime in silence. Maybe then you'll be smart enough to follow your own advise. I may not like this job, but it's MY JOB. To protect and enforce this mission. Anyone, without exception, interferes with that mission again. Will find themselves on the wrong side of my normally fair and loving temperment. To be shortly followed by a soul to soul meeting with the Emperor Himself."
