Not too bothered about continuitiy - I just don't like the new look :)

no it doesn't. think about it like this. If our universe is a piece of paper, you can walk to all the edges and from there calculate where the center of the paper is. Now imagine our 2D piece of paper universe is wraped around a baloon. Now you could walk forever in a single direction and never find the edge, and hence never calculate the center. In fact the center now lies in a difrent Dimention.
