Ah! Here ya go, Deep:
Your vast hail of gunfire grants a +20 modifier to your Ballistic Skill Test. If the ranged attack is succesful, a hit is scored as normal. Furthermore, every two degrees of success scores an extra hit. The number of extra hits you can score in this manner may not exceed the fully automatic rate of fire for your weapon.
It goes on to say that you can allocate extra hits to an additional target within two meters of the first, as long as the chance to hit was the same.
So I was wrong - I said an extra hit per degree of success - it's an extra hit for every two degrees of success. Scatter works similarly, but only at point-blank range and can't walk fire, plus increases AP against at long range.

Yeah, so I just read over the BS rules and they really live up to their name. Total BS. They have it set so you can't use a weapon by its own rules. A ten shot weapon can only shoot nine times? Okay...

Actually I think you can only hit 5 times, and that's with a perfect 100 for test and rolling a 1. Unless you can push the test target over 100.

Say what? Two humans beside the doors, one going through and one in the office?Sionnach Glic wrote:1203

One human stepping through the door. One..." He paused. "Unknown contact within the office. Probably one of those creatures."
...is Karibi pulling a Torres with his tricorder or did I really screw up the map?

Actually I think I screwed up the PM. It's supposed to be four Constructs (two to each side of the office door), a human walking in and the Overseer following him (the cloaked dude).

Okay, I'll go edit that. Maybe Karibi just seriously sucks with that auspex.

What does the Overseer register as being on the auspex? Or do his abilities not screw with tech?

It should register as Xeno.Sionnach Glic wrote:What does the Overseer register as being on the auspex? Or do his abilities not screw with tech?
Lets see:So........ did I maim the bishop or what?
You rolled 10 for damage and his TB is 3.
You did 7 damage. He has 5 wounds left before he goes critical. So he's still mobile.
Now I have to go re-read the rules for full auto to see if Deep really did shread that thing.
Oh, the Bishop and the new map are in the CS thread.

Do I need to flip them though, I've got the Overseer leading the Bishop instead of the other way around.Cpl Kendall wrote:Oh, the Bishop and the new map are in the CS thread.

Re: Dark Heresy: OOC Discussion/Dice Rolls...etc.
OK, heres what should have happened:Deepcrush wrote:I'm thinking I'm going to take out construct #2.
BS 47 + Braced 10 + High Ground 10 + aim (since I'm not moving anyways) 10 = 77
74, 63, 80, 94, 94, 98, 47, 81, 40, 45
Five hits out of ten on a seventy seven? Off moment for me.
Hits
(74) = 47 body = 6+4 (10) pen 3
(63) = 36 body = 3+4 (7) pen 3
(47) = 74 right leg = 5+4 (9) pen 3
(40) = 04 head = 7+4 (11) pen 3
(45) = 54 body = 10+4 (14) pen 3
Total of 51 damage minus 20 (T) minus (AP) leaving 26 damage. I think its dead, and somewhat in pieces.
Bracing allows you to fire your stubber without a -30 penalty (I can't find any + modifiers with it) and Aim is either a half- action or a full action. Full Auto is a full action.
BS 47 + 10 (High Ground) +20 (Full auto)=77 to beat. We'll take your 40 roll to give you maximum bang for your buck. So you get three degrees of success (three extra hits)
So that would be four hits to (using the multiple hit table on pg 190): Head x2, arm and body.
So 1d10+4 I Pen 3 (x4)gives: 11,11, 10 and 12
44 total damage with 12 total Pen
Targets TB is 4 and it's armour is 4 (All)
So just to simplfy:
44-16 (TB added up)-4 (Armour total after Pen) gives 24 total damage.
Yes, Construct 2 is dead.
Yes, flip them.Do I need to flip them though, I've got the Overseer leading the Bishop instead of the other way around.

Actually he had a half action of aiming the previous turn. So another degree of success.

Ahh, well it's dead anyways. Don't particularly feel like doing more math.
