Looks like Katy Perry again to me.

He kissed a girl and he liked it.

think I prefer the original-new version of the costume (first pic), but yeah, this is going to bomb, isn't it? This girl is no Linda Carter....

I officially declare this movie WINO. Wonder woman In Name Only.

Hmm. When I was officially declared "wino," I believe the term referred to something else.

Am I alone in thinking Wonder Woman is a superhero that's not going to translate over terribly well to today? Especially keeping her in that kind of costume?

They're a bit stuck really. Frankly many comics have bizzare stuff in them that the average moviegoer wouldn't accept. Superhero movies have to strike a balance, change things enough for the average moviegoer to accept it, whilst keeping it similar enough that the comic fans will turn out and buy your merchandising, too.

To fit modern sensibilities they'd have to redraw Wonder Woman so much it wouldn't really be Wonder Woman any more. You drive the fans off that way.

I don't think so. I dunno, maybe I'm not a hard core comic geek but to me it's one thing to accept something in a comic. It's another to see it on live action TV. Hell if you want to get serious about it a lot of comic characters have been trending towards more realistic/practical get ups and moving away from the spandex/latex past.

The most important thing to remember about fanboys is that you will never, ever make them happy. It's not possible. Don't even try. Make something for the general audience and let the fanboys bitch and moan about how it's ruined forever. They're going to anyways and there aren't enough of them to make something economically viable. You've got to get non-comic book fans watching or it'll bomb no matter how many fanboys are watching.
