1113 Day 2

"Well, good spotting at any rate." Marco nodded, impressed. He hadn't seen a damn thing. "But if there's nothing else here that can help we should probably get back to the bar and start asking around."

1115 Day 2

Entering the bar a lot more cautiously this time, Marco quickly hurried up to the counter and tried to grab the bar keeper's attention.

115 Day Two:

"Your here to investigate the goings on at the new cathedral, yes? Don't bother to answer, that wasn't a serious question. I and my comrades have been sent on a task that would appear to intersect yours. It seems someone or something wants to bring something back here, something that was banished long ago. Your best off not knowing what."

"We have been here some several weeks and your party almost blew our cover with your little firefight, not that it was your fault mind you but it's drawn unwanted attention from the Enforcers. So tell me, what do you know of this Seer?"

The man, pulled up a chair and sent the Ogryn from the room, and waited for Pahr to answer his question.

Pahr was slightly surprised by the man's candor, but he didn't show it; he leaned forward as much as possible and whispered, " Nothing... Suspicions."

1116 Day Two:

The man, seemingly relieved gets off his chair and approaches Pahr. As he closes Pahr notices that he is actually quite a bit older then he initially appears, with the telltale signs of juvent treatment. He reaches down and releases Pahr from his bonds. "Please don't try to escape, I shall ensure that you are returned to your friends when we are done. My associate is simple minded but loyal and would kill you for attempting it."

He fishes a small flask from his pocket and offers it to the assassin before returning to his seat and lighting a lho-stick from his pocket. "The Seer, has he mentioned anything called The Dancer at the Threshold or the Crow Father?"

Phebia shook her head at Marco. "He's in here somewhere. I want to start looking around, see if I can find anything. The longer we delay the colder the trail gets." She looked to Enrick, "I'm going in, you want to come with me or go babysit our comrades?"

1113, day 2

" I'll come along," Haxta offered. " I might be able to get us through any locked doors we encounter at the very least."

1113 Day 2

Marco looked dubiously at the mass of hab blocks surrounding them. There could be a thousand people living here, and a million places to hide.

"To be honest, I seriously doubt we're just going to happen to stumble a cross Pahr or whoever he was following. I'll slip back to the bar, then catch up with you later. I still think that's our best lead."

"The Seer, has he mentioned anything called The Dancer at the Threshold or the Crow Father?"
"The Seer? No. Why?" Pahr croaked, lightly rubbing his wrists and sitting back in the chair.

Enrick grinned. "To hell with those soft hearts. Lets go find our missing friend. At least he puts an honest man's effort into this fight." Stepping up beside Phebia. "Lead on woman and I'll follow."

"Beats sitting on a crate." Phebia walked into the block, keeping her eyes peeled. She moved slowly about, looking over the doors and windows of the dingy hovel, eyeing the ground for more disturbances, and keeping a wary watch on the inhabitants. "We really need to get our hands on some voxes," Phebia said offhand. "This is ridiculous."

Keeping his eyes moving from sided to side. Enrick scanned the spaces around him for targets and clues. "When one is led by fools we often suffer from foolish things."

Phebia looked back at him with a grin. "You mean someone is actually in charge around here?" Pausing for a moment Phebia pulled a random piece of paper out of her pocket, looking at it as if it was a map or directions. She tried to play the part of a lost stranger as she looked around.

Haxta followed carefully behind Phebia and Enrich, looking around carefully, but really having no idea what she should be looking for. Aside from actually catching sight of Pahr or a cultist through a window, she doubted she would be able to recognize anything useful. She sighed, feeling utterly frustrated by the whole situation.

1116 Day Two:

The man shrugs, "we or rather our master has suspicions about him. He seems awfully close to the local Bishop, was gifted a set of the Emperor's Tarot as I recall. Been acting odd since then."

The man pauses and touches a small object in his ear, nodding. He's obviously listening to something. "Bring them in then. No guns Nurk. Understood?"

Looking Pahr in the eyes he continues, "your friends are more capable then is typical it would seem. We'll bring them in and continue the chat."

1117 Day Two:

As Phebia and Enrick play the part of a lost couple, Nurk the Ogryn steps out in front of them. His oversized shotgun held at the ready but not aimed at them, he grunts and nods past them as two more men, painted as cultists step out behind the Sister and the Guardsmen. Nurk reaches into a pouch and produces a chunky amulet with the insignia of the Ordo Malleus on it.

"Master, wants you. Come. No harm," he grunts and turns to lead them into a nearby doorway.

1117 Day 2

Phebia's hand instinctively fell to her carbine when the Ogryn stepped out in front of her. She reigned in her own instincts as the two others surrounded them and she forced herself to stay calm. She takes a close look at the amulet and nods. "It looks legitimate," she said to Enrich and Haxta.
