But you're attaching multiple clips to the weapon. What difference does it make what ammo the clips are loaded with?
Other then the rulebooks clear intention for it to be different ones, nothing. I suppose that's why they have Duplex Clips in the Handbook. I'm still puzzling how either works with your carbine, to be honest. They have the bolts in nose to tail like a lever action rifle but in the stock.

I just question it because lets say Mikey gets the fire selector and uses it. Well what happens when he's out of Blazer rounds? Can he not fill up the second clip with regular ammo and continue to use the fire selector? It just seems like an odd ruling to me that it only works if you have different types of ammo loaded.

I was gonn ask about modifying it. Not the stats, just the appearance. How it works, dunno, but I'm equally puzzled by how you make a clip selector that only works if you have different types of ammo loaded but suddenly ceases to function if you don't. Heck, if you go with the default Angelius description it could be a second tube hollowed out in the stock with a switch that changes the tube you pull from.

I tend to agree. Can't say that I think it matters
that much, because there aren't a lot of things we've seen that can stand up well to one of those Astartes-issue bolts; but common sense says that the selector wouldn't be able to identify the types of rounds in either clip and shut itself off if both have the same rounds. As to the Angelus carbine specifically, I'm not sure how it would work with an internal mag.

I don't see why not. As long as Lighthawk can make the rolls.
What say you, our over-worked but much-appreciated tech-priestess?

It's just a weird thing for me to wrap my head around, that's all. If you guys want selectors and Lighthawk can make the rolls, I have no objection.

Lol the book recommends 2d10 (shifts) x 6 hours to put one on. WTF?

I've already got the mechanics sorted out for the tubular fire selector. Two tubes stacked vertically. You control the feed by means of a rocking guide/stopper mechanism. It's a V shaped piece of metal. In the down position one leg of the V holds back the bolt shells in the lower tube and guides the bolts from the upper tube to the receiver. In the up position the part of the V that was guiding the upper tube shells now closes off that tube and the part that had been holding the lower tube back now guides them up into the receiver. Sort of a Y arrangement with each leg of the Y feeding into the single tube.
That's where I'd start first keeping the rounds in the stock.
Of course my other idea, not changing the stats, would have just turned the gun into a "revolver rifle" style weapon.

That's an average of... holy shit 66 hours of work.

Well, if you consider how the AM works it sort of makes sense. They bless and cleanse and bless and pray for every single stinking part. Most of that time is probably spent praying to the great monkey wrench in the sky, not actually building anything.

Well, I'll leave it up to Kendall to say if it can be done in time for lift-off. If not, I'll just have to charge, pray, and set sh*t on fire.

What are my roll mods, and what's the cost going to be from my spare parts pile? I've got 9 parts to work with, whatever exactly a part counts as.

Aye, I think we'll put this fire selector thing on the back burner for now.
Edit: The crafting rules are quite complex and I'd like a chance to read them over and chat with Lighthawk about them. So we'll go with what everyone has for now.

Works for me. Time to put some bolts in people.

All of this sounds great, Pahr and I will take up the east and west position on the roof. Lot (west) Pahr (east). Deep you wanted to be on the roof with us, then jump down later? You should probably be on the south side of the dome opening, don't you think? My main concern is that if you do decide to leave the turkey shoot and jump down to meet the others you might get hurt real bad. It might be best to either stay with us, or go in on the ground from the get-go.
That is if all of our grav harnesses work.

Works for me. I'll give the rules a look over myself.
