So... an actual ship you think even within the Abramsverse?

Don't see why not.

The registry is odd... very low for a Constitution class. But TOS registries were a bit all over the place, so who can say.

Good thing that didn't make it into the final cut.......or how would they explain having an original timeline constitution suddenly hanging around?

Hmm..I don't know.....the simple fact that they even put this on in the first place goes to show how little they think of continuity/paying attention to detail. Don't know why this worked reasonably well in from the 60ties to mid 90ties and suddenly....noone can be bothered anymore to put a little thought into it.

Well..if the main story would be that more creative and blows you away...okay.....but since it's only rehashing the past...... . Imho it was a mistake letting Abrahms handle the sequel. I somehow have the feeling that his heart wasn't really in it and that they had no idea what they are supposed to do, other than making another star trek movie.

I'd assume they would explain it as a model of an old ship. What's the continuity problem? There's nothing at all to say that the Nero timeline doesn't have constitutions in it.

The Connie could have been designed earlier.

I think the problem is that the Neo-Enterprise is identified as Constitution class. BUT, that doesn't mean the old Connie doesn't exist and they didn't decide to do a massive refit/redesign after the incident with the giant squid-ship.

Someone on the Star Trek reddit suggested that that was a model of the proposed Constitution Class but when the Kelvin was destroyed by Nero, Star Fleet dumped that Biddleford design and went for bigger ships.

Or they just call that the Constellation class, or some other name.

Maybe it was built too but the Enterprise was put into the newer bigger Connie class.

Though it would be like night and day though. I wonder if anyone tried to meld the Abramsprise with the original E-nil.

Okay, to get off the topic...

TJ Omega reviews a transforming washing machine.

It's short, and admittedly more for the WTF factor. But it's still pretty good. And funny.
