Yes well that's in earth meters. You need to convert to space meters for turbolaser comparison.

The turbolasers do, but the lasers with superchargers or NOS go a little further. ;)

Okay, the first two I can at least understand in some capsity, even if they are totally BS. But metal spines? Where ever in the holy hell would you even concieve such an idea from?
From what I've heard, it was in a debate over whether medical tech in Star Wars is better than medical tech in Trek. Someone posted a picture of Vader's skeleton from RotJ to show that SW has spine fixing tech. In order to avoid conceding the point, he said something to the effect of "well how do we know that isn't what their spine is normally like?".

I doubt it ever was. Truth is that common sense is more of what the common person SHOULD HAVE vs what they in fact DO HAVE.
