Here's a strange idea for you: how about actualy adressing my points?

He keeps suggesting that my character should leave or be killed off and I should replace her with someone else. As if that were a realistic possibility.

It's the most realistic possibility around. It's not our fault you wrote your character into a corner.

Would you just kill Rochey off when it's convinent for you?

If the Captain (or indeed, Rochey) told Hewer to do something, he would do it. He wouldn't do it if someone who was outside the chain of command told him to.

But this doesn't seem to solve's Blackstar's want to join a department and do something, indeed this role would still keep him out of the chain of command as almost an 'advisor' to the captain.

And Blackstar is the only one with the rank problem - he is the one who made his character that rank purposefully so he could presumably take over tactical (as his gripe is that in tactical he doesn't want to report to anyone).

I don't think it matters at the moment. I was hoping we'd try and work out Dusk's idea.

He may not have proper clearence in certain cases, and there may be situations when a mission is needed that can't go through the standard chain of command. Remember there is a Tholian on board.

Of course, or at the very least you would be notified of your orders and expected to act accordingly. In my idea, I mean.

And I agree with Tsuki. Everyone grow up, and get a grip. We're talking solutions here now.

K posted. Blackstar let me know if there's any problems with it. That should get your character out of too deep of a hole

But what if a mere Lt doesn't have the clearance for that situation. Besides the less people who know the details, the more likely it is to stay secure.

Actually a shemale is a male who has breasts and acts as a female and is referred to as such. I roleplay as a hermaphrodite who has fully functional male and female parts. But if you're uncomfortable with that then at least refer to me by female pronouns. As a courtesy.
