Well, this may be a new attempt to try it again. Do you think it took a hundred years to use steam power again after the first boiler exploded? I think it's about time Starfleet experimented with an AI again, but on a smaller scale this time.
Third - having such a craft would take away an RP opportunity, not add one.
Teaching a new AI would take away an RP opportunity? What about Data? Did he take away from TNG stories? No, he added to it greatly. I think a young, untaught version of Sally would be interesting

Getting advice from fellow pilots or AWACS isn't uncommon though. I figure that's the kindof stuff M'Real will do.

As Mikey said, adding in automated ships would take away from the RP.
And to be honest, you're tacticle. You should be in charge of the torpedoes and other ship-to-ship battle type stuff.
I am in charge of defending the ship, whether that be by a good defence or a good offence. The fighters fall under both these categories. My main character, Jonathon Hewer, isn't a pilot and isn't necessarily the direct leader of the fighters, but the Bolian, Anker Zionex, is. His entire purpose in this story is to be a fighter pilot.
You haven't done anything with the fighter squadren, haven't even suggested any ideas for the squadren. And you'd be giving general orders to the squadren at best, not telling them to dodge and weave and such because you should be busy with the ship. Besides, who's more qualified to command a flight of fighters, an ex-pilot with the rank of Lt. Cmd. or a Lt. who's been out with the flu?
Rank is irrelevant. You think a 70 year old general is a better pilot than a 30 year old wing commander? It's your skills, not your rank. I haven't done much with them (though I have - I ordered them out as part of the search operation earlier) because I've not been here. Now I'm back I intend to. Comprende? This 'dodging and weaving' business is for the fighters. My main character wouldn't give these orders, but one of my secondary characters - the lead fighter - does. And he is still part of the tactical department. I think you are completely mixing up Hewer directly controlling the tactical station on the bridge and the pilots, and tactical in general controlling all defence of the ship.

I don't. And as I already 'control' the aspects you are wanting to get rid of, personally I think I should get the final say. It's like telling Rochey he is no longer a Tholian. Or that Munroe isn't allowed off the ship. It's their part of the RP. What makes you think I want to lose a major part of mine?

Well, you sure didn't seem to miss it for the past few months.
As Mikey said, adding in automated ships would take away from the RP
It's one ship with a learning AI.
Anker Zionex
I don't even remember this guy.
Now I'm back I intend to. Comprende?
And why should I suffer because you decided to come back on a whim? I've been participating in this RP since the start, with no breaks.

Well - you missed the boat, then.
It's one ship with a learning AI.
Yet still a military vessel with the objective of defending the Daystrom. Tactical? Yes. So... Even if it were put on, it wouldn't really be under your control as you like.
I don't even remember this guy.
I've mentioned him in pretty much all my posts, and he's on the Mission Brief.
And why should I suffer because you decided to come back on a whim? I've been participating in this RP since the start, with no breaks.
See my first point - if you wanted tactical so much you should have taken it while I wasn't here. I don't remember being kicked out of this RP, and even if I were, and I came back as I did, I still would have come back as tactical before you had this urge to take on a major part of it. So really, me leaving is of little relevance now.

Shit 5 pages since in one night.

First off, Monroe we have about 30ish prisoners not 100. That number was to high to deal with and be realistic.

Blackstar. As you can see neither Opps or Tactical are gonna give up control of their raft so that job you want is basically going to be shuttle bay maintence. Not much to do there.

You would really be better off starting a new character as this one has become very limited.

I like the idea of the star base stop off. It will give everyone free time to hang around and we'll sort out our next mission.

I'm not a fan of the AI fighter. It doesnt fit canon and I dont like the idea of a Dues Ex Machina fighter. Also it would fall under Thorin again.

30 also contradicts every other number posted :P But so does 100. Either way we'll be dropping them off soon so it doesnn't matter really.

Blackstar I haven't OOCly been mad at you or tried to stop your RP before everything I've suggested has been somewhat constructive. I don't need you threatening to install viruses on my computer. Far as I'm concerned after tonight M'Real can die off and you can just not return.
Threatening me personally is incredibly stupid and immature and I'm sick of your power tripping.

-On a side note would it be possible to have an updated list of people? I'd like to get some RPers who haven't been involved in the plots as much involved more. Like the Cardasian and the Bolivian (isnt' that a country?) the pentium 3 blue men from a few years ago. Anyway if we could expand the person-rank thing with their job and who controls them that'd rock.

 It's a joke. Besides any virus I could get my hands on would probably be an old one that would easily be defeated by anti-virus software. It's like threatening to kick the annoying guy's ass, neither side will really do anything unless they're incredibly stupid.
You would really be better off starting a new character as this one has become very limited.
And do what? So far my ideas have all been shot down because Thorin is an ass who shows up out of nowhere after how long and gets all power hungry over something he used a total of one time. And all the other interesting jobs are already taken. I'm willing to compromise, I'm willing to come up with interesting stories. Thorin is a power hungry trouble maker who refuses to compromise whatsoever. Basically there is nothing a new character would do that is interesting, unless Thorin compromises and gives me control of the fighters, which is what I wanted to do with M'Real anyway.

How about everyone post an upadated version of their profile and their NPC's? I'll then update the crew manifest.

You know what? Fine. Thorin, Rochey, Monroe, you guys win. I give up. I am sick of fighting everyone, and this RPG is no longer fun. Just have M'Real depart at the starbase with her giving the crew the finger as she's leaving. I am no longer interested in trying to be a crew member on the ship of the damned. Also, you should change the ship motto to: "Welcome to hell."

Blackstar - take a pill. There's no need for histrionics - on ANYBODY'S part - just because some people want to preserve the integrity of the roles they've chosen or built around themselves. Just to use one example: while it is true that Thorin hasn't been around for a while, there's no reason to assume that any of us can wantonly disregard what was established at the outset or in the early writing. Everyone here is just as free to say whether or not something makes sense to him as you are to say what you would like, and everyone's opinion is just as valid - yours is no more and no less.

I personally don't see a problem with letting you - as M'real, or as a new character - taking over a vacated position, but by the same token I do see a problem with you taking over an occupied position simply because you want to. I don't understand, perhaps, how you intended M'real to play an open-ended part with the way you had introduced her, but I sure don't mind if you find a way - as long as it's not at somebody else's expense.

No, Mikey, I'm just sick of fighting for every idea I have.
