It's actually the Spiderman 3 movie on Blu-Ray. I'll probably give it away to a friend or something, though the thought of using it for target practice is a good one.
You could probably sell it then and get some cash for a movie you like.

Oh, that reminds me, is there Star Trek on Blu-Ray yet?

Well, she couldn't count on my dad. He'd get to the part where clothes came off, turn red, make a joke, and change the subject. One of the funniest memories I have is at a christmas party or something, my mom was talking about men being circumsised, how she's never even met a man who wasn't. My dad, who'd been her husband for almost 30 years, made the mistake of asking her "what are you talking about? I'm not circumsised (mom married a gentile)." She couldn't believe it, told him he was full of it, she would've notice, yata yata yata. Finally, since she'd had a couple of drinks, she insisted he pull his pants down and show her. In a room full of people. He turned red and declined. She insisted. He got redder and refused. She went over to him and tried to open his pants herself. By this time he was almost purple. He ran away. She chased him. He ended up locking himself in the bathroom for almost an hour, while she pounded on the door yelling to "show her his schmuck".

Aaahhh....to this day almost 20 years later that still cracks me up.

Looks like it's out on DVD, HD DVD (Season one only). Nothing on Blu-Ray and Toshiba pulled out of the HD DVD deal, probably cause Blu-Ray won the format war (or so I hear).

The end of the format war is old news. HD-DVD is like this generation's Beta-max, which isn't completely accurate since Beta-Max was actually superior in technical specifications to the VHS

Old news to you maybe, I stopped paying attention to this stuff long ago. About the time Beta lost to VHS, which rumor has it was because porn went with VHS. This time I hear it's cause Blu-Ray has better copyright protection.

At any rate, these games better be taking advantage of Blu-Rays larger capacity and be long.

The porn thing isn't true. VHS was just handled better in sales.

Remember, it's still relativly early for this generation, so many haven't taken full advantage of the Blu-ray capacity or the PS3's power.

*meh* Doesn't really matter now other than UFI.

Well Fallout 3, Dead Space and another upcoming RPG look to be doing that. The last one apperently has a world large enough that it would take 22 hours to walk across.

Anyways I'm excited to be playing trombone more, because up to this point it's been mostly grad school and 2 jobs.
I know him, but as far as Dixieland I was always more of a Bechet fan.
He wasn't a musician, he was a homeless crazy man who proclaimed himself emperor of the US, and became so famous locally that people would treat him to free food and stuff. His story is really interesting, if you want to wiki it. Or maybe even check out a reputable source!

I had a meeting at the city jail with the chief of security over there. It's REALLY not to easy to get a waiver to visit somebody in jail over there. If anything is the slightest but unusual, it's a real pain in the a$$. You wouldn't think there would be all that much to visiting my wife, but damn.

Just a bit of friendly advice: it's probably not a good idea to talk much about this on a web board. Especially if you decide to divorce etc. That was the advice I got a few years back.

I go away for a week without telling anyone and the world practically ends!
So, anyone able to give me the short version of what has happened (cause I am not reading, like 10,000 posts)?

Oh, and in topic of this thread, school starts for me on Monday. Last simester at the Community College.

Nothing of note really happened, the place has continued on as per normal.
