So can we take a 20 year turn at the start? I can't possibly fit my fleet re-building plan in in anything under 15 years.

You should be planning at least 20 years ahead anyways.

Well for my plans I'd need an intermission at 10 years due to some research projects.

This first turn is 1 year....after that if people want to go for a 10 year turn, I can do that, and we can do 2 of them rather than 2 5 years or 1 20 year

Nah, I was joking. 20 years is way too long for most things. 10 is a good number. But honestly if you gave me 50 I would have a really nice fleet.

jeez you need 50, I had mine up to snuff in 10 and I didn't have a previous player to base my actions off of

Honestly, for a player like me, large turns are killer. I make many year by year deals...

I am a bit particular about some things. I have organized my fleet into a lot of subdivisions that I have plotted out nice and neat.
It will have 10 fleets comprised of 26 task groups consisting of 94 wings comprised of 532 squadrons as well as 10 command detachments that I am still playing with.
I figure just for the spacebound force and section heads at Starfleet Command I need the following commanders.
1 Fleet Admiral
10 Vice Admirals
21 Rear Admirals (Upper Half)
30 Rear Admirals (Lower Half)
26 Commodores
188 Fleet Captains
332 Senior Captains (Squadron Leaders for lighter units commanded by Commanders)
And that does not even count executive officers and other adjuncts to these element commanders.
So yeah...I got bored at work today. To be fair I only named the Vice Admirals and some of the upper half rear admirals to this point.

Hey, a ten year would be great. But a couple of five year deals would be ok also.

we'll go with the consensus of the group for 5 vs 10 year turns
and BIG AFAIK usually if you have Rear Admiral upper and lower you don't have the rank of commodore....

Yeah, I wanted it that way. Its simpler than having a seniority list to just stick the extra rank in there.
