Apperently it was a combo of Dark Angels bombardment and a warp storm.

A whole Space Marine fleet hammering a planet is a lot of hurt.

Hey, guys. Sorry I've only been on a minute at a time lately - I only got that much because of the new cell phone w/ browser. I just had RL open an economy-size can of whup-ass on me the last 4 days or so - home and work - but I'll be writing tomorrow. Probably to beat this motley crew together and try to get you on a shuttle without killing each other.

Yeah, good luck with that. These guys are the underarm rain of the Imperium by their work ethic. This RP is going to be so much fun!

I was trying to get my room mate into a RP (not sure which if any he'd join) but I was thinking how would someone get into this RP once we're in the middle of it? Are there more retinue personel onboard we don't know about or would they have to be a local?

I don't see it being a problem to pick people up during the RP. Frag, it happens in the novels all the time. The mechanics might be a little bit of work but I'm sure we could work something out.

Yeah, we could pick someone up. Rogue trader, Imperial Guard or Navy personnel, Adeptus Mechanicus working nearby, Adeptus Arbites from the system we're in, etc.

In Duty Calls, a random civillian ended up inducted into an Inquisitor's retinue by virtue of being in the right place at the right time. I don't see how it'd be a problem for a skilled proffesional to come to our attention during the mission. We will be doing our best to make as many contacts as possible and find out as much that's going on as we can. Plenty of oppertunities to, say, encounter a guardsman with a skill for sniping, or whatever.

Or a local hive ganger, or Ogryn, or tech-priest, or astropath, perhaps even a Space Marine scout (not a completed Marine, I think that would be too unbalancing) on a quest, or almost anything. We'll work something out. In the Eisenhorn novel Xenos, half of Eisenhorn's retinue was pulled from locals while his investigation was in progress.

Nice. I doubt Pahr will have any problem with Trask's command.
